Martin Beckmann has been an engineer since 1988, a lawyer since 2010 and a member of the Brussels Bar since 2024. He studied law in the Netherlands and passed the equivalence examination of the Flemish Bar Association.
A business lawyer, his practice focuses on economic law in the broad sense, contracts, data protection and privacy, and the regulation of new technologies. He also has experience in intellectual property law, in particular open source software law.
Martin Beckmann also has experience of arbitration proceedings and has acted as arbitrator in national and international disputes.
